PROJECT ENGINEER III

Performs responsible engineering work and project management involved with the planning, design, construction, inspection and maintenance of water and wastewater facilities. Manages studies, designs, and construction projects for the PWCSA Capital Improvements Program. Coordinates and manages efforts of consulting engineers and contractors. Performs contract administration, negotiates scope of work and pricing, and recommends approval of engineering and construction projects. Utility planning and design project management, utility inspections, system modeling and PC skills required. Skill in supervising and instructing subordinate technical and clerical employees needed. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing regarding water and wastewater facilities. Requires degree in civil or environmental engineering and a minimum of 5 years engineering work experience in the water and wastewater utility field. Registration as a Professional Engineer in Virginia is required. Must possess valid driver's license, good driving record and pass preemployment physical, drug screen and background check. Communications Associate

Serves as author and designer of informational & marketing matierials; web-based, printed and manufactured to the community, customers and employees. Will provide technical, logistical and graphics support for all printed materials. Assists in content production/design for Consumer Confidence Reports, brochures, media materials and displays for external/internal events. Serves as project coordinator, provides administrative support on assigned projects; serves as primary photographer and as videographer as needed.
Seeking a college graduate in the communications or graphic design field or related area with five years of experience. Proficiency in Web and print design software applications including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, etc. Knowledge of Actionscript, Javascript and SQL a plus.
Must be able to lead projects from concept to completion. Attention to detail and the ability to communicate well is essential.

Mapping Technician Intern
Position No. 08-07
Assist in editing and printing utility maps, create special project maps as needed, research plans, microfilm and documents to verify data. Light data entry, filing, copying maps, plans, etc.
Seeking a student pursuing their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems/Civil Engineering or related field. Attention to detail with the ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing is a must. Knowledge of Autocad, Arcview desired, basic computer skills a must.
