Accounts with past due balances greater than $50.00 are subject to disconnection within 25 days from the due date. A past due balance, plus any incurred late, delinquent, or restoration fees are due in full prior to service restoration. Guaranteed funds or other required payment types may be required depending on payment history. Payments using credit cards will be accepted only during normal business hours. During extraordinary circumstance and at the customer’s request, a payment plan may be arranged through the Customer Service Department, during normal business hours (8:00am-5:00pm), Monday-Friday. Pay arrangements are at the discretion of the Authority based on existing policies and the customer’s account history and typically do not exceed a six month period.

Requests for service restorations shall be made during the following times:

Requests to restore service outside of the above hours shall be considered an after-hours restoration, and subject to the after-hours restoration fee. Requests for after-hours restoration can be made by contacting the Dispatch Office by calling 703-335-7990. Requests will be handled as received, however restoration time is impacted by the number of service restoration requests and the size of the geographic area being serviced. An Emergency Dispatcher can be reached 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.

A delinquency fee of $35.00 is charged for all accounts subject to service disconnection or notification. An additional $90.00 fee is charged for all emergency restoration requests received after 6:00pm during the week, on all weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays.
